MEMORY: Upcoming Liam Neeson Action Picture Gets April 2022 Theatrical Release

Liam Neeson Close Up

Liam Neeson’s Latest Action Picture Slated for April 2022 Release

Liam Neeson‘s latest film, Memory, has been acquired for U.S. release by Briarcliff Entertainment and Open Road for a late April theatrical release.

Liam Neeson became one of Hollywood’s most bankable action stars with the Taken films and he is now set to appear in a new forthcoming film called Memory where he will play opposite the always terrific Guy Pearce. This new picture was recently picked up from Black Bear Pictures by Briarcliff and Open Road for an April 29, 2022 theatrical release. This is the fourth collaboration of Neeson and those film releasing companies coming after hits Honest Thief, The Marksman and, also, the yet-to-be-released film, Blacklight. People seem to like Neeson’s action movies and this one should be no exception. Helmer Martin Campbell directed Memory.

Memory will feature the always reliable action hero Neeson as an expert assassin who gets a job that challenges him from a moral standpoint and, as a result, he fails to carry out the order to kill. This means trouble for Neeson’s character in the film, Alex Lewis. It seems Lewis must take vengeance on those who hired him and avoid an expert FBI agent portrayed by Pearce. The film is titled as such because Lewis’ memory is in question throughout the film, and this will surely make for some interesting plot twists and turns throughout the picture.

Acclaimed actress Monica Bellucci of Irreversible fame will also star in the upcoming Neeson picture. Bellucci is known for her high-profile roles in indie films and, also, blockbusters such as a couple of entries in The Matrix series.

Director Campbell is no stranger to action films having made pictures such as the James Bond movie Casino Royale, Mel Gibson’s Edge of Darkness and the recent acclaimed film, The Protege.

Liam Neeson has also made acclaimed dramatic films as well as a slew of action movies. Some of Neeson’s career highlights include his roles in Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List and Paul Haggis (Crash)’s hugely underrated Third Person where he played opposite Olivia Wilde and Adrien Brody among many other wonderful movie stars.

Never underestimate the appeal of a good Liam Neeson action film. These movies are usually crowd pleasers that draw huge crowds both in theaters and on streaming services. Guy Pearce is best known for his role in the great Christopher Nolan picture, Memento.

Memory has strong potential to be a pre-summer blockbuster when it opens on April 29, 2022 if Liam Neeson’s box-office power remains as strong as it has been in the past. With Pearce and Campbell on his side, Memory could do at least $40-50 million domestically upon its release. Look for it at theaters this spring right before the summer blockbusters invade theaters.
