OFF THE GRID: Greg Kinnear Returns to the Screen for New Action/Suspense Movie

Greg Kinnear Heaven Is For Real

Off the Grid to Star Oscar Nominated Actor Greg Kinnear

Off the Grid is an upcoming action vehicle which has cast Oscar nominee for As Good as It Gets, Greg Kinnear, in a juicy principal role.

The fine actor, Greg Kinnear, is now part of a high-profile new project called Off the Grid which also features Josh Duhamel. Many fans of Duhamel know before he hit it big in the movies, Duhamel was prominently featured on the soap opera, “All My Children.”

Duhamel will serve as a scientist in the upcoming film project. Duhamel’s scientist will steal an experiment which leads to his old research partner (Kinnear) hunting down the scientist to reclaim the experiment. This movie has a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement which will help its production flow smoothly as the actors’ strike continues on. Off the Grid is in pre-production now with a January 2024 shooting date to begin filming.

Kinnear started on “Talk Soup” which was on the E! channel back in the 1990’s. He came on to the movie scene starring opposite Harrison Ford in Sabrina back in 1995. He quickly went on to land lead roles in movies like Dear God and A Smile Like Yours but in As Good as it Gets (playing opposite Oscar winner Jack Nicholson), Kinnear made movie magic in a juicy, memorable supporting role.

While Kinnear is known for his hit dramatic movies like Little Miss Sunshine and Heaven is For Real, many forget his great role in the comedy, Stuck on You, where he played with another Oscar nominee, Matt Damon. The pair portrayed a set of conjoined twins in the hysterical Farrelly Brothers picture that is one of Kinnear’s most heartfelt efforts, yet it is also wildly funny too.

Duhamel appeared in some Transformers movies (four of them, actually) and like Kinnear, Duhamel has made movies where he was the primary leading man– When in Rome and Life as We Know It. Duhamel (who like Kinnear got his first really big break in television) and Kinnear are both similar in that they have a natural charisma that seems to carry their performances through even in some movies which are less than stellar. Kinnear’s Little Miss Sunshine from 2006 was an Oscar nominee for Best Pictures as was As Good as it Gets about 9 years before it.

Expect the always reliable Kinnear’s performance to be “Off the Grid” in the upcoming movie of the same name which showcases the talents of two of Hollywood’s best (and underrated) actors. Kinnear has made a career out of playing nice guys and fans will be curious to see him in an upcoming action movie role.
